Talent:Ed Community Charter
Purpose
Overarching objective:
To equip HR and Talent professionals with the knowledge, tools, and community support needed to build fairer, more inclusive, skills-driven talent practices across the employee lifecycle.
The Talent:Ed Community exists to bring together in-house talent leaders and HR professionals who are committed to transforming how organisations attract, develop, and retain talent. Powered by TalentMapper, Talent:Ed creates a collaborative learning environment where members gain access to practical guidance, expert insights, thought leadership, resources, and peer-to-peer support ( without the fear of being bombarded by suppliers). The Community aims to develop a trusted, progressive space where leaders can share challenges, celebrate progress, and inspire change by forging genuine connections with other practitioners experiencing similar challenges.
In a context where skills shortages, bias, inequitable progression, and systemic barriers persist, Talent:Ed provides a collective voice and a platform for shared action, helping accelerate meaningful and sustainable progress.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Talent:Ed Community is coordinated by TalentMapper. From time to time, new Advisors may be invited to support the Community’s evolution. Members will be informed of any changes.
Community Members
Community Members participate in events as their availability allows, contribute to discussions, share ideas, support peers, and champion the Community’s purpose. Members listen respectfully, act in good faith, and uphold the principles outlined in this Charter.
Trusted Experts
Trusted Experts are members of the Talent:Ed community, but they are not presently in-house HR practitioners. To add as much value to members as possible, TalentMapper will invite Trusted Experts to the community to provide their expertise to the wider membership. These individuals will only be added to the group if they agree to this Charter’s principles and agree that they will do no selling of their personal or business’ services. This commitment will maintain trust across our community.

Membership is open to:

In-house talent professionals

A private online Community Space (currently hosted via TalentMapper’s website and email communication channels) provides access to updates, resources, events, and peer discussions.
There is no limit to the number of Community Members; as we grow, we may periodically review our governance model.
